The phenomenon of repetition has a great influence on literary works musically and semantically, so all critics have pointed to the importance of this technique in literary works and have mentioned several purposes for it. the use of repetition in contemporary poetry has grown widely and is divided into various forms and types and contemporary poets use repetition in their poetry for artistic and semantic reasons a lot. Mohammed Al-Qaisi is one of the Palestinian poet who spent many years in exile and nostalgia. his poems include themes: nostalgia, longing for homeland, condemning Israel and calling for resistance and devotion to freedom the homeland. repeat is divided into elementary repeat, final repeat, necessary repeat , compact repeat, pyramidal repeat, and circular repeat depending on which part of the elegy is located. the present article studies the musical and semantic aspects of different types of repetition in Muhammad alqaisi's poetry by methodological and analytical method. the results of the article show that the poet has succeeded in using this technique and repetition is one of the most important techniques he has used to portray his own and his people's pains and his revolutionary and resistance ideas and to excite the spirit of resistance and martyrdom among his countrymen. the poet has used all sorts of repetitions, especially compact and elementary repetition in his poems, to influence him and to attract the reader's attention and to accompany him with his purpose.
